Helsinki Mills receives International Food Standard certificate

Helsinki Mills has been awarded with the highest level of International Food Standard certification. The internationally recognised and GFSI-approved food safety standard is proof that our food manufacturing process is safe and our quality control works.

In the past, all our production facilities have been FSSC22000 certified. During this time, we have already been audited regularly by external auditors and many of our customers.

The change of quality certificate has been accompanied by process documentation, quality control development work and training of personnel to meet the requirements of the new standard. Our partner in the process has been Elap Oy, an expert in product information, quality and food safety.

The IFS quality certificate is particularly important for companies manufacturing Private Label products. The certificate also assures the consumer that our process is in order and that our quality is externally monitored even more closely than with occasional Oiva inspections. In the Finnish Food Authority’s Oiva inspection our production facilities have received the highest possible score.
